Sustainability: Citric acid is an exceptionally sustainable, biodegradable, and eco-friendly choice for descaling household appliances. It breaks down completely and naturally in the environment without leaving behind toxic or persistent chemical residues. While originally sourced from citrus fruits, commercial production relies on the safe fermentation of simple carbohydrate sources (like molasses or corn starch) using microbial cultures. By removing limescale from kettles and coffee machines, citric acid restores thermal efficiency, meaning your appliances consume less electricity and last significantly longer.

Directions:
Descaling kettles, taps and showerheads
Dissolve 1 to 2 tablespoons in 1 litre of water, and use the solution to descale kettles, taps, showerheads and similar surfaces. Rinse thoroughly afterwards.
Washing machine clean
Add 6 to 8 tablespoons to the empty drum and run a hot wash cycle.
Toilet bowl clean
Pour a generous amount into the bowl, leave for several hours or overnight, then brush and flush.
General cleaning
Mix with water and use on suitable hard surfaces throughout the home as part of your regular cleaning routine.
IMPORTANT: Store in a cool, dry place with the pouch sealed after use. Keep out of reach of children.
