Sir Michael Craig-Martin (b. 1941) is among the most influential artists and teachers of his generation. Since his rise to prominence in the late 1960’s he has moved seamlessly between sculpture, installation, painting, drawing and print, creating an oeuvre that fuses elements of pop, minimalism and conceptual art. Exhibitions of Craig-Martin’s work have been held throughout the world, and he is included in numerous public collections, including Tate, London; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Reina Sofia, Madrid; National Gallery of Australia, Canberra.
