Butterflybom Seedbom
£3.95
Seedboms are friendly bombs filled with native British wildflower or herb seeds that grow into nectar-rich flowers that help to sustain bee, butterfly and other important insect populations. Give nature a helping hand to transform rundown, tired and unloved spaces. Very easy to use and no need to plant as Seedboms split open upon impact with the ground and grow where they land.
Out of stock
Seedboms are designed to be used from around April till June. However depending on the variety, you can grow them as early as March, and as late as October so they flower the following year. You can throw this one March – June to grow it this year, or throw it August – October to grow it next year.
Dimensions: 8 x 5.5 cm. Typically developed seedlings and wildflowers can take up an area of around 30 cm sq.
Packaging: 100% recycled and recyclable glue free cardboard packaging covered with instructions.
Directions: For best results, use your Seedbom within 1 year of purchase. Keep cool and dry when storing.
Materials: Starch and natural fibre based biodegradable shell (made in the Netherlands), organic peat-free compost, non-GMO accredited native British seeds. Contains Musk Mallow, Birds-foot Trefoil, Yarrow, Oxeye Daisy, Red Campion, Forget-me-not seeds.
Special note: The grenade shape has extremely negative and aggressive connotations. The maker’s intention is to re-appropriate the idea, turn the function on its head and create a positive impact, robbing it of its negative power, giving life and colour to dull, lifeless spaces in the form of wildflowers. The grenade shell completely disappears over time, giving over to nature in the form of wildflowers, biodegrading into the environment and losing its negative form forever.
